July minutes were read and accepted.

Treasurer’s Report:

Webmaster Report:

· Newest schedule up on website

o One mistake is the woman’s meeting is listed in two locations

o Some meetings are not listed

o Only one phone number is listed

o No Melrose phone number is listed

· Fliers for the Amana meeting and the Family Afterward Picnic are posted

Co-chair Report:

· Ann will be updating the pager message

· A woman called the pager 3 times and left messages and never got a call back

o A problem is that people don’t check the pager messages

o Suggestion was made that Intergroup delegates taking on the responsibility of training people for the pager

o Discussion about taking the word “immediate” out of the pager message was tabled until next month’s meeting.

Group Reports:

Miriam – Midwest Group

· About 30 people or more per meeting

· Giving out sobriety chips at each meeting

· Family Afterward Picnic on August 14^th at Upper City Park

Mary – Melrose

· Noon meetings are hit-and-miss

· Bills are paid

· Newcomers are coming

Andrew – Saturday Noon at North Hall

· Attendance has been down

· Group ran out of prudent reserve

o Will be making donations to Intergroup after prudent reserve is built back up

· Childcare is provided

Leah – Thursday Trinity BB Study

· Meeting is going well

· Good meeting size

Rick – Monday Tiffin Group

· All is well

· Decreased meeting size over the summer

Old Business:

1. Banquet

a. Barb asked if anyone had put a down payment on a location for the banquet

i. No

b. Location will be Our Redeemer on September 25^th

c. Miriam will call caterer and make arrangements (taking over for Lindsay)

d. Barb volunteered to print tickets

i. The cost of the tickets is only for dinner

e. The last two banquets were not fundraisers

f. The focus of the banquet will be on fellowship

g. Archives will be there

h. Old timers panel from 7-8:30

i. Rick will ask Cecilia and Doug B

ii. Barb will ask Leon and Artis

iii. Andrew will ask Peter

i. Andrew suggested we pull together committees from meetings

j. Voted that we will have karaoke

i. Andrew will get details

k. Theme will be “Iowa City AA Through the Years”
