SecretaryÕs Report:

June minutes were read and approved.

 

TreasurerÕs Report:

á      Intergroup was not charged for the pager replacement

á      Small Mall lost our check for $200

o   Motion was passed to reissue the check

á      Eric received a letter from the phone book asking about our information for the updated book – he will respond with updated information.

 

Webmaster Report: No report

 

Co-chair Report:

á      Ann went and got the pager in Solon last month

á      Ann got the binder and passed it off to the Blue Noon group

á      Groups are signed up for the pager to October

á      The pager message will be updated in August after Uptown BillÕs moves to its new location

 

Group Reports:

Jill – Friday WomenÕs Step Meeting

á      Childcare provided at meeting

á      Meeting has coffee

á      Attendance has been growing recently

á      Lots of newcomers have been attending

Leah – Thursday Trinity BB Study

á      Meeting attendance is about 20 people per week

á      Newcomers attending

á      This is a home group

á      Next home group business meeting is next week

Rick – Monday Tiffin Group

á      Group celebrated their 4 year anniversary and AAÕs 75th anniversary in a joint celebration

á      Group attendance is about 12 people per week

á      Business meetings are first Monday of every month

á      Group will be making a $100 contribution to Intergroup later this year

á      Group is making financial contributions

Patrick – Tuesday night Baptist on Clinton Street

á      Bigger attendance than usual- more than 30 people per meeting

á      Mix of old and new sobriety

á      Childcare provided at meeting

á      Group hopes to have business meetings in the future

Marika – Midwest Group (filling in for Miriam)

á      Group has been large over the past few months

á      Giving out sobriety chips at meetings

 

Old Business:

1.     Banquet

a.     Ann contacted Jerry and nothing is available at Mercy

                                               i.     Alternate locations: Hills Community Center

1.     $50 rental fee

2.     Rick will look into it

                                             ii.     Our Redeemer

1.     Eric will look into it

                                            iii.     Zion Lutheran Church

1.     Teresa will look into it

b.     Eric will contact Lindsay

c.     Lindsay will try to book a caterer after location is secured

                                               i.     Contact Barb for advice

 

New Business:

1.     New Intergroup/District liaison is needed for the group

a.     Marika voted in for position

2.     Uptown BillÕs

a.     Back room at current location will be the last to move

b.     79 seating capacity in meeting room at new location

c.     Locked storage cabinet available for meetings

d.     August 1 is move date

e.     100 + parking spots available with no meters

f.      No new carpet as was planned –funding from grant was disqualified and is now being paid out of pocket

g.     730 S. Dubuque is new address

3.     New meetings starting up

a.     Tuesday 7pm – Call for location

b.     5th dimension – Monday12:10pm at Trinity Episcopal Church

                                               i.     Closed meeting

                                             ii.     No childcare

 

Next meeting will be August 7th at Uptown BillÕs new location at 730 S. Dubuque Street
